Amalia stabbed to the throat in Pink’s Alley

Theophelia Brakeman

Theophelia Brakeman

A twenty-three year old woman of the Pink’s Alley has been remanded to the Hattieville Prison after she was found guilty of Grievous Harm for stabbing a woman. On July tenth, 2009, at about twelve noon, forty-four year old Amalia Castillo was walking through Pink’s Alley on North Front Street near when she was attacked by Theophelia Brakeman who brandished a twelve inch knife in her face. According to Castillo, Brakeman approached her with obscenities and then stabbed her on the throat but missed her wind pipe.  She took another stab at Castillo but only managed to graze her on the chest. Today during the trial, brakeman was unrepresented and Magistrate Frazer told her that she found the evidence very compelling after listening to the victim’s testimony. But why did the woman try to kill Castillo? In court it was revealed that Castillo was once the common-law wife of, Dean Brown, one of Brakeman’s relatives.  When Brown was sick, Brakeman alleged that Castillo did not nurse him to health.  Brakeman, who is also the mother of an infant, now faces a prison term of at least two years but she will not learn of her fate until her sentencing on March fifteenth.

That was very foolish of her indeed, it is unbelievable what rage would actually make some people do, and as we all know it is very sad that she will be leaving her child at the mercy of the world now.
It is so sad that Belize is now the third most murderous country in the Caribbean, it is rediculous for such a small population, but I guess it is parents like these who actually inspire criminal activity within children
