Collet residents get housing grants

Some residents of the Collet Division received housing grants today through their area representative and the Ministry of Housing. Seventy-five recipients got purchase orders for material to repair and renovate their houses. The latest disbursement comes from monies given to the Government of Belize by Venezuela back in 2008. Area Representative and Minister of Education Patrick Faber distributed the grants.

“I think this is the third one and we are distributing the share of the housing money from the Venezuela funds of course for the residents of the Collet area. Today we distributed about seventy-five such grants and this brings the total to a little bit over two hundred and fifty. Of course there are still a little bit more. What we decided to do in this constituency as opposed to building new houses or to give anybody a huge lump sum of money was to give as many people as we can smaller grants of up to three thousand dollars so that the money can stretched and that many more people could receive.”
According to Faber other Collet residents who recently applied for housing grants will receive assistance early in fiscal year 2010.

Patrick Faber, thats his name he does not get my respect. He is as crooked as the cops thats killing people. My mother when to him so he could help with her house thats needs some work, and he said no because my mother was on the PUP party side. What the hell, I thought the government was for the people, regardless of which party you want to lead with. Lots of my friends and other family tells me the same thing about him, I guess he’s eating it. I just hate all the corrupt government, it does not matter who is in control the two parties are the same. When are we going to get a great person such as our FATHER HONORABLE GEORGE PRICE. And for you people thats governing MY home, MY BELIZE, the word HONORABLE means, PROUD,REPUTABLE and CREDITABLE if you for got and until you so call UDP AND PUP leaders hold that up, you are not getting my respect. SO patrick faber stop eating the people money away and help them regardless of party. BUT I didn’t have to tell you that cause all of you know.
