Atlantic Bank robber faces the court

Telvin Abraham
A shooting victim remains under police guard at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after Thursday’s botched robbery of an Atlantic Bank security guard. The brazen incident happened shortly before three o’clock at the Atlantic Bank Collet Agency at the corner of Magazine and Cemetery Roads. Another suspect remains at large but the third accomplice, eighteen year old Telvin Abraham, was today escorted to Magistrates’ Court where he was arraigned for four charges including robbery. Abraham who is a resident of Plues Street was charged for allegedly robbing Francis Luis, a security guard posted inside Atlantic bank of his Smith & Wesson brand nine millimeter handgun which was loaded with ten live rounds of ammunition. He is also facing one count of conspiracy to commit robbery and keeping an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. He pleaded not guilty to all charges when he appeared unrepresented in court. Bail was not offered to Abraham due to the nature of the offense and he was remanded into custody at the Hattieville Prison until May eighteenth. Abraham was recently granted bail after three months in remand for the robbery of Dave’s Furniture World in September 2009.

i am constantly amazed at how easily these repeat offenders get bail.
Like i said a short time ago, most of these guys are either on bail or they have some money for the courts. They just keep doing the same thing all the time. The system needs to be revised.
Belizeans nowadays are just being foolish. Belizeans just disappoint me with everything they do.. first the police department now. another robbery
real eeedyat bwai dis…go luk ah job n stop terrorize hard workin pple…
i am so disgusted by what is happening in our country- a very very bad justice system, and people on the streets doing nothing, but finding their living the wrong way!
Belize will be posted as a dangerous country not to visit , then there does the little economy left! The police dept and officials , law makers and all the parents who raise idiat children running belize to the ground!
Lets stop talking and come up with real immediate solutions..
Ankle bracelets for these clowns. If we can keep em locked up we can at least track them. System would be cheaper than some minister’s SUV’s.
Thats my 2 cents for a “drastic” measure.
