…And Spanish Lookout mechanic dies in motorcycle mishap

While Ronaldo Petillo was hit by a vehicle as he waited for his brother, twenty-seven year old John Weibe died in a traffic mishap as headed to the home of his sister. Weibe, a mechanic, lost control of his motorcycle as he rode on loose gravel on B Lane in Spanish Lookout. He ran into a barbed wire fence and police found his body almost decapitated. Inspector Dinsdale Thompson, the officer second in charge of San Ignacio Police briefed us via phone on the findings of their investigations.

“We have on the tenth of March 2010, we received information of a traffic accident in the Spanish Lookout Area whereby we dispatched a team of police officers who, upon their arrival met the lifeless body of an individual who later got to found out that his name was John Weibe of Green Hills, Spanish Lookout laying face up with his motorcycle some twenty feet from where he was lying at the time. Initial investigation revealed that Johnny Weibe was riding his motorcycle, Mielum Brand, when he lost control on a gravel road and went into a barb wire that was not too far away from where he lost control. One of the barb wire is believed to have caused a severe cut to his neck, almost causing his head to be severed off. We are continuing our investigation on that at this present moment.”

“Yes, our investigation also revealed that his sister lived not too far away who had texted him and invited him over for supper that said evening and he was believed to be going to that location to his sister’s residence.”
