Wendell Mottley is new non-executive chair of BCB Holdings

A major change was announced today at BCB Holdings. This afternoon, via press release, word came that Wendell Mottley has moved up as non-executive chairman of the group. He succeeds Lord Michael Ashcroft, the owner of the Belize Bank among other businesses, who retains membership on the Board of Directors. Mottley, a distinguished economist from Yale and Cambridge, is a former minister of Finance and of housing from Trinidad and Tobago who was largely responsible for successfully floating the twin islands dollar in 1996. Mottley has also worked as an investment banker and has held various leadership positions for the past thirteen years, reported BCB Holdings. He also has extensive experience on issues of the environment. The other members of the Board remain unchanged. They are Philip Johnson, Lyndon Guiseppi, Peter Gaze, Phillip Osborne, Cheryl Jones, John Searle and Philip Priestly. BCB Holdings was recently listed on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange.
