Getaway vehicle used in SSB robbery still not located
Four days after it was held up and robbed, the Social Security Board has still not released the exact amount of money they were relieved of on Monday afternoon. But as News Five reported on Wednesday, we have been reliably informed that the thieves made off with around four hundred and fifteen thousand. We understand that about hundred thousand dollars was in hard cash while the remainder was in cheques. And while police are yet to make an arrest for the bold robbery, News Five has also been reliably informed that the family of the child who opened the black metal door, is receiving threats. As we told you on Wednesday, children of the employees are allowed to wait for their parents to complete their work day. That evening there were several children in the building on Princess Margaret Drive when the thieves entered in the kitchenette area. The dark Suzuki Vitara that police suspect the thieves escaped has also not been located.
This should not be a real difficult case to solve; has the police thought about analizing the phone calls made before and after the robbery took place between certain SSB employees?? (both to and from them)
Belize needs a national computerized data base for all motor vehicles. Once you have a licence plate, you will be able to find out who the registered owner of the m v is. The criminals are way ahead of law enforcement .
sorry, but intentionally this vehicle will not be found, this is a shame, and again I say, somebody from inside plan all this to thief my hard work money, in fact, Social Security is in a whole the biggest RIP OFF in our cou try.
How stupid of the police they should have withheld the information about the vehicle, naturally the crooks will hide the vehicle.
This is hard to understand.Peredomo should step down as Minister of National Security. If SS money is not secure, then nothing is secure in Belize. The criminals run the country.
