Cab driver busted with heroin

Moises Williams

Moises Williams

Police had a huge bust on Friday when in response to a tip, they caught a taxi driver with a substantive quantity of what appears to be heroin.  Thirty-nine year old Moises Williams of the Lake Independence area, was pulled aside on Mahogany Street and police say they found more than a pound and quarter or six hundred and seventy-six grams of heroin. Williams appeared in court this morning and was charged with Drug Trafficking. Bail was denied due to the amount of the alleged drug. The cops received information that Williams had drugs and weapons and when they searched his taxi, a black bag was found under the driver’s seat of the Green Ford car. According to the police, the alleged heroin was hidden in a box-like object wrapped in transparent tape and hidden in the plastic bag. Williams is due back in court on May seventeenth.

  1. Law & Order??? says:

and we’re wondering why crime so horrible here in Belize, these people not only smoking weed and the crack pipe… Heroine is on the streets now. the down side to this already sad picture is that we don’t have rehabilitation institutes to even try to help theses fallen brothers.
