But while Ayuso has won this round, it is not the end of his problems.  As he told us outside the courtroom, he still wants to return to work as a police officer, but knows that is a far way ahead.

Aldo Ayuso, wins decision against Police Department

“In all honesty I wanted reinstatement, not only for me personally but I believe that I was unjustly dismissed and the entire procedure that they went about doing it was wrong.  And I was hoping that the Supreme Court would have been able to remedy this and not only for myself but for all other police officers who have gone through it and will go through it.”

Dean Lindo

“They will refer to the Sol Gen, who will most likely advise that he be dismissed then he’ll be dismissed a second time, then he will appeal to the Advisory Council.  That is what we should expect.  We’re asking that he be reinstated.  That would be a matter for the discretion of the court because they might say guess what, if he goes back there’s bad blood and it won’t work so tell you what, we won’t reinstate you.  We will pay you what it costs you in the meantime.”

Aldo Ayuso

“Within any profession there will be certain who don’t like you, who have certain animosities against you but you’re there to do a job and I have had good relations with most police officers.  There are just a very, very few that claim to have bad blood.”

The CJ awarded that Ayuso’s legal costs be paid by the Police Department, by extension, the government.  While Lindo represented Ayuso, the government’s attorney was Magali Perdomo.

Not judging this Ex-officer in any means, but this is another typical incompetent performance of our Government Officials that is costing us the Tax Payers. I have been saying this continuously and yet the idiots are wondering how the budget is $60M short. Our Prime Minister expect to raise sales Taxe that will vastly affect the POOR (according to CPR report). This idea of raising sales tax is to make up for their bulls–t, instead of finding another solution to generate funds to create employemnt and development in Districts like Dangriga & Toledo for the Tourism Industry. I noh soh smart, ah suffa from dyslexia and autism. Check dis out, charge BNE road tax and higher business tax, Higher Taxes fu di Casinos, and start pop some neck again fi encourage Investors and Tourists back eena wih country. If wi Prime Minista could do just dis yah lee bit, maybe wi wha could have moni fu send di judges, District Attorneys, and Law Enforcement Officials dem fi study Criminology, DNA Fingerprinting, and Forensic Science fi get dehn credentials and do dehn job di right way. Dis da whe happen when people and politicians noh fare and honest. Ref. Scripture Reading: ” A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight”. When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. (Proverbs 11:1-2). Maybe every Belizeans including myself need to read, digest, and understand the true meaning of: ( Proverbs 11:1-12). For those of you who don’t know this is all politics. The unfortunate youth is the grandson of CLB Rogers; former VP to George Price. In any regards the police department needs to learn to follow protocol and the rules of the land. You do not set aside a law to bring justice to another law! This is the mistake they continuously make and indeed this is a waste of tax payers money!

The police department will win the respect of the public who they should protect when ever they stop being pawns for the political party in power: become law enforcers and stop being popets!
