While this budget cut on the police department reflects bad on the government, it doesn’t have to mean a less efficient force or that crime will just spiral out of control due to this cut. The department has to be more efficient and look at other new methods of fighting crime; also the assistance from the U.S.A. government Merida Initiative is kicking in and this shall fill some of the gaps caused by the budget cut.
