Saffiyah finds Easter treats and dances for everyone

There is an abundance of activities to look forward to this Easter weekend, whether you are in the City or if you plan to hit the beaches.  The hot ticket item seems to be the Movado concert taking place  in the Placencia Peninsula while at La Isla Bonita, there many options of fun activities.  But here is more with Saffiyah.

Hi guys, I’m Saffiyah and this is What’s Happening Belize.Obviiously I’m not in the studio today because it is Easter Break Week. So I decided to come by a pool and chill with some of my friends and tell you all about the events you can enjoy this weekend.

If you’re going to be in San Pedro this weekend then you should head over to Fido’s bar where they will be having Tag International, Belizean Movements and DJ Debbie. It’s going to be a big party, lots of fun and also if you can’t make it to Saturday night’s party you can head over there Sunday night, where they will be having Sweet Tea’s Birthday Bash. Sweet Tea is a Belizean, Reggae Artist and she is going to be hosting her party at Fido. She is going to perform and you will enjoy that along with Tag International, Belizean Movements and DJ Debbie.

If you’re going to be in Placencia then you can head over to the Movado Concert happening on Saturday night. The Movado Concert is going to have of course Movado performing live for you as well as Ras Indo and Flex and Chase Cast. So, you definitely need to check that out in Placencia at the Cozy Corner.

Alright, another big big event happening in Placenica is the Spring Break Reggae Beach Bash. This will feature Assassin and also Black Panther Sound. This is all going down at the Internet Café Beachfront on Sunday Night.

If you are planning to be in Hopkins on Sunday, you can also check out the fair happening at the Hopkins RC School. It’s an all day event. You can ride boats, you can play beach ball and all sorts of things are happening out there in Hopkins.

If you are going to be in Santa Elena on Saturday, there are going to have the biggest Horse Race Belize have ever seen. So you might want to head over at the Peanut August Stadium at one pm on Holy Saturday to check out those horse raes if you’re a fan. If not you can just head over there and enjoy. There are going to have lots of food and drinks and can have a good time in Satna Elena.

If you’re going to be in San Ignacio on Saturday, the Town Council will be having their Easter Fling Dance, which is taking place at the Victor Galvez Stadium. It’s going to feature Ruff Cutz Sounds and DJ Jessie and DJ Benz. And guess what, if you can’t make that party on Saturday night, there are also having another party on Sunday also at the Victor Galvez Stadium. This one is going to feature Stone Jam, Jah Fire and Stereo One.

And guess what, for all you Belize City locals, if you don’t have anything to do and you are not p0lanning to travel, you can head over to the Club Planet on Saturday night, where there will be a huge party with DJ Kenny and Super Mario. They are promising if you go to this party, they will have an Easter Egg Hunt and inside each egg should have tickets that would allow you to get free drinks. They will also have a balloon drop.

Also, to all you Belize City people staying home, if you want to take a swim on Sunday, you can head over to the Crocland where they will be having a huge pool party featuring Blue Steel Sound. You know that’s going to be fun.  Also, on Monday they will be having another party featuring Belizean Movements and Tag International. They are going to have chip and dips eating contest and other fun contest as well as horseback riding and ATV riding.
