Smart expands services while celebrating anniversary
It has faced numerous obstacles over the past several months as it took on telecoms giant Belize Telemedia Limited in a battle over property and equipment access that rocked the telecommunications industry. Nonetheless, Smart proudly celebrated its fifth anniversary on March twenty-ninth and today they announced that their customer database now includes the Cristo Rey, Forest Home and August Pine Ridge communities. These areas can now access improved cellular and wireless internet services. According to a release from Smart issued today, it’s all a testimony that they are major players in telecoms.

we need more companies in order to compete for
better prices, phone services are way too high in belize.
thank you so much smart for giving my home village better service ( agust Pine Ridge )
Even with the dictator kind of take over from mr dean barrow over btl and wanting to damage the image of Smart ! by saying they are the victims I believe there should be competition ! and to be honest with u smart has better rates, better coverage, more promotions…so why not continue to deal with SMART,SMART AND BTL were competing for quit a few years together and there was no problem then. Why is mr. dean barrow against it ? it is clear that he is a DICTATOR. The people has the power to decide and let there be competition.GO FOR IT ALWAYS SMART.{Bringing people together}.
Competition is the only way to go. No competition leads to monopoly and we are tired of that in Belize. We have about the highest telephone rates in our region and the companies here are offering very little incentives to the customers. At least Smart is trying to do something.
Smart is NOT really smart. BTL is a bit smarter, atleast with the wireless internet.
I can buy as many Aircard modems and simply insert my GSM phone Sim Card and surf the web.
Not so with smart, with smart you MUST buy their smart modems…expensive.
Get smarter smart.
