Two appear in court for bullet proof vest
And in news from the courts, a bullet proof vest may not sound like much but it is enough for two men to spend Christmas and the New Year behind bars. Around three a.m. on Tuesday police were on mobile patrol when they received information about firearms at a house on Plues Street. When the police arrived, it was occupied by twenty-six year old Jarrett Leslie and twenty-one year old Paul Jex. Instead of firearms, they found a black bullet proof vest with markings on it. Leslie and Jex were charged with Keeping Prohibited Material when they appeared today in Magistrates’ Court. The men pleaded not guilty to the charge and Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie explained to them that the court cannot offer them bail because of the nature of the offence. She remanded them into custody until January twelfth, 2009.

BULLET PROOF VEST? REALLY? WITH ALL THE SHOOTING GOING ON, ITS ILLEGAL TO PROTECT YOURSELF? SMH! DUMB ..!!!!
