Brother dies while trying to rush suicidal teen to hospital
We do not normally report on suicides, but this story caught our attention because the attempted suicide went terribly wrong in the Corozal District. Tonight the perpetrator, a teen from Cristo Rey Village, is receiving treatment, but his brother is the one who lost his life. The seventeen year old who attempted to take his life was being rushed to the Corozal Hospital by his older brother, when he lost control of the vehicle about a mile away from Patchakan Village. The teenager survived with a few cuts and bruises but his brother was flung from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. His body was found about thirty-five feet away in a cane field with a large cut wound on the right side of his head, a broken right collar bone and right foot. Contrary to reports that he had died, police have confirmed that the teen is receiving treatment and is in a critical condition.
Hope this teen and all other teens value life…
hope he realizes the tragic mistake he did to his brother. brother shows love to him and he suiciding himself never thought about family love. hope now he gets it clear and think more than twice to do it again. hope remorse on his mistake keeps him in good path to life and to appreciate the life he has that others couldn’t count on like his brother.

that is sad and terrible how can people do such things to themselves well u never know maybe they havig familyproblems but i feel sorry for the both fthem nd the family hope they recver soon
god gave us life and he is the only one that should take it away .life is great no matter what.

Mein, this is so sad!! In reallity its hard to comprehend why people take their lives or try to do so. Some people are just not as strong as others. Family members when you see someone in your family going through rough times try to help in some kind of way. If that person is distant try to intervene. As questions, talk to them. My brother committed suicide and we could have helped. He was always alone, avoiding others and we never took the time out to sit and talk to him to see how we could have helped in. Everybody deals with things their own way. I just hope that this young person tries to take a different approach in life. Life is a gift from God and no matter what we are going through he will help, do not afraid to call on him!!!
that teen doesn’t deserved to be be alive. i do realize that his brother was trying to help him but on the act he lost his life. so simply he is a Belizean hero a simple example to all of us. to see how valuable is life and love that over closest relative have for us everyday.
I am amazed at how quick it is for us to cast stones. There are many out there suffering from depression , PTS amounts other mental and emotional maladies with no where or no one to turn to. We must start to look at the root issues affecting our society and especially that of the young people. These are difficult times and we need to pull together and support each other. I might be wrong but it seems like most of the suicides I hear about are amounts young men. condolences to the family.
Gosh…:( just watch this kid is going to really kill himself now… living with his brothers death on his shoulders.
