Case file to be handed to DPP for shooting death of cop

The case of a killing on San Pedro when a sergeant of police fatally shot a corporal is finally moving forward. Almost a month after the death of Corporal Gavin Sanchez, the medico form was just handed in by Dr. Mario Estradabran today and the file will be handed over to the Director of Public Prosecutions on Friday. Corporal Sanchez was shot by Sergeant Paulino Reyes on March eighteenth after they got into a confrontation at a bar and an intoxicated Sanchez was detained. Sanchez allegedly attacked and injured Reyes, who defended himself by shooting the corporal several times. Since the incident Reyes remains on administrative leave.
Why is the DPP even taking up this case?We already know what the verdict for this case will be not Guilty.So why even go there.?
This case is already solved. not guilty.
They are Just a bunch of idiots who wants the people to believe that they actually have something important to say.
These guys are going to be pretty embarrassed if they ever developed the capacity to feel shame.
The file will no doubt go missing before the trail – if it ever gets that far.
“No Case” will be submitted, and yet another killer will walk free. The only difference will be that this one will remain on active duty in the Police Force, so having gotten away with it once, will no doubt do it again. (The next target could be you, minding your own business, but killed in “self defence” ).
No justice in Belize
don’t worry guys if his guilty his turn will come to feel the same death close to him in his cold arms. What goes around comes around that’s the ways in Belize now. i’m today laughing and tomarrow will be you. if his not guilty fine but if his guilty pray every day you walk out of your door and pray to make you step inside too.
This is so true we will all hear a NOT GUILTY or no case to answer reply! So why all the formalities?? Where are we going? Man gets jailtime for stealing ideals and goes a free man when he kills because of the incompetent ppl in authority!!
Wait a minute. What if Sgt. Reyes is in fact innocent? If you read the report from that day, even the bartender at the bar where the incident started has stated that Sgt. Reyes was a regular sight and never had a problem. While on the other hand, it seems that Cpl. Sanchez was no joke! There are reports of him shooting randomly at people and in this case, he put on a bulletproof vest and went after Sgt. Reyes. I don’t consider this man a “killer walking free” in the least, if someone was shooting at him what was he supposed to do? I know a lot of people say he should have shot in the leg or the arm, but in that situation with another trained person (a fellow officer) shooting at him, it’s unfair to blame the guy for reacting.

They said it was Sergant reyes and two BDF, so how come the 3 of them couldn’t bring him down without killing him, why did he shot him in the head he ment to kill him. where is the gun my nephew had, how come Reyes nor the BDF’s didn’t got shot only my nephew it ‘s a lot of cover up they say Reyes is Jeffers best boy so of course we all know nothing going to come out of that, and all his aunts want justice we want to know what the Prime Minister and Ministers of Belize is going to do about that . The saying is WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND. I thaught the Prime Minister put Jeffers in charge of cleaning up the crime what is he doing, nothing but chaseing Arthur Young. You all don’t know the feelings until it happens to you, then you going to feel the hurt our family is going thru, but GOD is not sleeping.
i know what is feels to loose a family member. however, the only conclusion that i have made is that if sanchez wouldnt have been the man killes then srt.reyes family would be feeling what sanchez family is now going trough..
Mellow Belizean:You definately don’t sound mellow you sound bais To hell with what the Bar Tender says.You don’t know what affiliations this Cop Sgt Reyes had with this Bartender and even if what the Bar Tender said was true the Force Sgt Reyes used was to excessive.Would you like your brother or sister to be shot up the way Sgt Reyes shot this guy?
