Belizean-American turns himself in after strangling his wife

A Belizean living in Westmont, Chicago is facing charges for the murder of his wife, which occurred on Saturday morning. Thirty-three year old Ian Alamilla turned himself in to police after he strangled his wife while their children—ages five, seven and eleven—were in bed. According to reports in the international media, Ian told the police that he had a fight with his wife, Tara Alamilla and that someone should check on her. She was found dead in her bed while the kids remained asleep and unharmed. The murder was startling to the neighbours and co-workers of Tara because she was someone that loved people and so it followed that many people loved her. It appears, however, that the killing was because Tara filed for a divorce on March twenty-fifth. Ian appeared in court on Monday when his bail was set at two million US dollars and his preliminary inquiry is set to begin on May tenth. Back near her Westmont home, neighbors told us they are troubled by charges her husband, Ian Alamilla strangled his wife Saturday while their three children slept. Prosecutors said the two had a fight and several hours later he turned himself in to police. 02:34:19

The day of Tara’s murder was also the birthday of her youngest child. Ian is facing a minimum of twenty years if convicted.

More negativity for Belize. That is all that surrounds Belize now. We really need to take a long look at ourselves something is drastically wrong with the mentality of Belizeans. There is just absolutely no LOVE in this country and it’s people.

I believe he should be hanged in the US/ he never taught for his kids now they are without their mother………the US should’t feel pitty for him,he deserves to be hanged….maybe he taught he was in Belize? where criminals are set free,20 years is nothing compared to what his own kids will suffer for the rest of their lives.

First of all i must make it clear that not only belizean men commit murder in the united states and around the world. Life at time is so unpredictable. What ye did is unacceptable,big time. You do not kill a woman,a daughter and especially the mother of your own children. If people cannot see eye to eye,then one must leave immediatly . Think about life in its fullest and just RUN,RUN,RUN. send your child or children money via mail or to the court. No one is supposed to be slaughter. Even animals have rights. God never turned away from sinners so we cant turned away from him. We need to pray for him.
