Online poll shows that residence feel their safety is at risk
We have reported on the police figures which say that crime is down by thirty percent. Residents complain that those numbers, however, are not translating to any sense of security. We posed the question: Despite the official statistics that crime is down, do you feel that your personal safety is more at risk? Those who answered said that they did feel that their personal safety was in danger. Eighty-eight percent said yes and twelve percent said no. YES, I felt my personal safety was at risk. I just came back from Visiting Belize, and I could not sleep at night, hearing the dogs barking, people on the street making alot of noise. Anytime you hear something like this, you know someone is too close to your premise, coupled with drunks, druggies. I didn’t have time to go online and read other articles, or read local newspaper but, now that I’m back in the US, I thank God wherever I’m at that he keep me SAFE.
People on the street making noise and dogs barking, wow. seriously? sounds like any downtown area to me.
