They assaulted him and stole his vehicle, but he’s forgiven them

A businessman who was partying with two men he met at a local bar on April twenty-second was robbed of his car, a 2000 gold Jeep Cherokee, and a thousand dollars in cash. The two men are nineteen year old Omar Espat and twenty-seven year old Pedro Pena, a supervisor at Ready Call Centre. They both appeared in court on Monday and were briefly charged, that’s because Kenny Cox told Magistrate Dorothy Flowers, that he had spoken with Espat’s father and learned that he is soon to be a father and wanted to be home for the birth of his child. Cox had initially made a report saying that he had hooked up with Espat and Pena and was heading to Rose Garden when in the area of Nazarene High School he was assaulted. Both overpowered him but he managed to throw himself out of the car. He later recovered the vehicle and Espat’s cell phone which led police to Pena and him.

Let him pay for his crime. Excusing him will only let him do it again. What example will he be to his child, will he teach him to assault people too?
he’s a good samaritan but on the other side he’s encouraging them to robb again with his forgiveness and when will the crime decline with people getting away with things like these. let them pay for their actions and to reflect in jail what happens when you do stupidness.
Espat Sr., should be charged for interfering in a legal case. That is bribery, he may not have used money, but he sure used the unborn child as legal tender. Espat Jr., certainly did not think of his unborn child, he could have been shot and killed, then what, the child would have been without a father anyway. A crime was committed and they should pay.

It sucks when cowardly people like this businessman forgive thieves, cause guess what’s gonna happen. Two months down the road they will once again rob someone else and this time they might actually injure or kill their victim.
I certainly hope they change their ways and that this forgiveness doesn’t make them more bold in their thefts.
Hope if they do continue with their crooked ways they run into a businessman who is armed.

This sort of behavior should not be tolerated!! If they had the courage to do the crime after supposedly hanging out with Cox….what else will these hooligans do next now that they are left to roam the streets free of charges! Cox should be man enough to put them where they belong!
