Escapee Edger Roberts back behind bars
Prison inmate, thirty-six year old Edger Roberts, escaped on Tuesday night, but enjoyed only one day of freedom and tonight he is back in Hattieville. He got away by breaking the lock on his cell in the medium security area and then he somehow managed to leave the building unnoticed. Roberts, was recaptured on Wednesday evening by Dangriga police near the Southern six mile junction. Two other escapees, thirty-five year old Dennis Quilter and twenty-two year old Jose Malgar, who escaped along with three fellow prisoners on April twelfth, are yet to be apprehended. Of that group, Jose-Luis Cocom, Terry Bainton and Juan Menendez have been recaptured. The public is being asked to look out for the two remaining escapees and a reward is being offered by the Kolbe Foundation for information that can bring Quilter back to prison.
what ‘s the deal wth these prisoners escaping, wait why should anything humiliating be a surprise to us Belizeans. Going off tangent a bit but when news broke about the licensing of stolen vehicles these people responsible arent worried about being embarrased because we the people only sit and take it up the rear. this is a sad corrupt country where the police are incompetent and leaders are crooks. We are only waiting for the elections so that we can vote in the other crooks.
