Another case of sexual assault against a minor added to growing list

A forty-two year old City resident is tonight behind bars for allegedly committing an indecent assault on a seven year child. This afternoon, Dalesmon Lewis, appeared before Senior Magistrate, Sharon Frazer and was arraigned for aggravated assault. The abuse happened as the child slept at her home. She screamed for help when she felt she was being fondled but the perpetrator fled the scene. He was later identified by the child as someone she knew. In court this afternoon, Lewis pleaded not guilty and said he was nowhere near the home of the young girl when she claimed she was molested. He claimed he is innocent but the prosecutor, Sgt. Kenneth Magdaleno objected to bail on the grounds that the victim is of a very tender age. Senior Magistrate Frazer upheld the objection and denied him bail. Lewis was remanded to the Hattieville Prison until June seventh, his next court date. In past two weeks, various persons were charged criminally for sexually assaulting minors. Cruz Encalda was charged with unlawful carnal knowledge of a fifteen year-old student and Felipe Kotch, a bus driver of Benque was charged with unlawful carnal knowledge of another minor. Alexander Hercules, a Cotton Tree farmer has been charged with aggravated assault of an indent nature upon a twelve year old student of Belize City.

i would suggest cutting his ……. off but that would be morally insane, Belize crime rates are increasing and the ppl who are getting hurt are the young children that are just starting to live. Wat example is Belize showing to our your generations. Why cant Belize bring back the death sentence. Bring back the death sentence, ppl will start thinking twice of ever commiting any crimes. Criminal beg to go behind bars… Prison in Belize is a free hostel to get criminals free food. that is why the beg to go behind bars and causing out young children to suffer. and where is Belize law… NO WHERE!! cause the police create their own laws!!!
