Delivery truck robbers charged in court

One of two accused men was arraigned in Magistrates’ Court this morning for the robbery of a delivery truck on Mahogany Street. The alleged partners in crime who perpetrated the armed holdup are twenty-six year old Brian Yorke and twenty year old Charles Young Junior. But Young was first to appear in court because Yorke was shot during the incident was being treated at the K.H.M.H.  Young was charged with one count of Robbery for cash stolen from the driver of the truck, Gustavo Caliz and two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm for pointing a handgun at salesmen, Eli Sanchez and Luis Hyde. Yorke was released from the hospital this afternoon and was also charged with Robbery. Both men pleaded not guilty to all counts and were remanded until the next court date, which is set for June twenty-first. On May third the three victims were delivering ideals to Y&M Shop when they were approached by the two armed men. Young allegedly took five hundred dollars cash from Caliz, but Yorke was shot on his neck and back before the duo could escape.
