Popular Johnson & Johnson medications recalled

In January, Johnson and Johnson, one of the most trusted manufacturers of over the counter medications recalled a long list of products that may have been tainted. And today that company has announced yet another recall, this time for infant and children’s medications under the popular brands Tylenol, Motrin, Zyrtec and Benadryl. A total of forty types of medicine are being pulled off shelves because of quality concerns ranging from a higher than required concentration of the active ingredients to inactive ingredients that are not on par with required standards. A release from the Ministry of Health advises that the recall is a precautionary measure and there have been no reports thus far of health threats. The Public Health and Pharmacy Departments, however, will be conducting a national inspection to ensure that products from the batches being recalled are not currently being sold.
