Teenage girl shot by stray bullet while in the comfort of home

bullet 2A lone gunman fired a barrage of bullets at a house on Boots Crescent this morning. And whether he was simply sending a message or targeting someone, a teenage girl was injured in the process. Fourteen year old Alondra Trapp was in the living room of her home when she heard the shots. Trapp soon felt a burning sensation as one of the bullets penetrated her left leg. She was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where her injury has been treated, but has not yet been classified. The shooter is said to have been a man on a bicycle dressed in a red shirt and black pants with a warm cap. Police are now looking for one known person of interest for questioning in their investigation.

It seems that we’ve got to start building bullet proof houses in Belize because it doesn’t seems like Mr Barrow is going to do anything anytimesoon to deal with the Crime situation in the Jewel.

belizean voters are to be blamed because they have not made the past nor current administration accountable for the control of the violence.

As long as the voters quietly keep voting for PUP OR UDP based on the silly allegations both parties keep throwing at each other during the election campaigns ( tactics to dodge real issues like drugs and crimes) without making factors like CRIME,VIOLENCE, and the ECONOMY major issues at election time, things will never change and belizeans will continue to be held hostages in their homes, whilst the politicians continue to take them for granted and make fun of the poor and uneducated behind their backs.

The elite class don’t live near these poor victims and therefore are out of touch with the reality of the situation. Therefore Bze City is still a JEWEL in the eyes of the elite.

why deh no ban dem warm caps, it seems that whenever you hear of a shooting the criminal always dressed up with warm caps, and on bicycles, common mein all dem bway weh use warm cap should be arrested, cause it sems that warm caps are part of their plan to commit all these crimes.
Why would someone wear a warm cap ina this hot weather????

Heavily tinted windows – no licence plates, youths on bikes, warm hats worn – all should be stopped & searched by the Police –

If the youth on the bike has nothing to hide, he might get a bit angry being stopped several times, but ultimately he is free to go. If the rider has evil intent, he should be deterred by the fact that he could be stopped at any time of night and day, and not just once!

In the case of no license plates – it is Belizean law that every vehicle should display them on the front & rear. If not, they are breaking the law and should be stopped. If there is a legitimate reason why not, in writing, held by the driver, the vehicle can be released. If not – impound the vehicle until such a time as the owner brings the plates and fits them!

As for heavily tinted windows, they should be illegal, not only for security reasons, but anything that impedes the drivers vision is illegal, and tinted glass, at night impedes the drivers vision. Glass can be tinted, but not to the extent that you can’t see inside in daylight. The driver of heavily tinted glass should be considered to be hiding something by the Police, and stopped at checkpoints, regardles of teh type of vehicle or colour of licence plates. If they did that, you’d be surprised what would come come out in the open!!!!!!
