Rains synonymous with flood for Kendall crossing
The recent rains over the country have wreaked havoc for people who rely on the Kendall crossing. Since the weekend the crossing has been closed due to flooding in the south. Today the National Emergency Management Organization discussed the situation and while the floods have been a problem, the projection for the next few days looks promising, as the Ministry of Works’ Chief Engineer, Lennox Bradley tells us.

“This weather pattern seems to be weakening somewhat and moving slightly away from Belize to the point where it would only affect the extreme south. We’ll have some rains between now and Friday but by Friday in that area we feel that it’s supposed to start clear up. The only experience that motorists will experience there is the delay until the water recedes noh.”
The Mullins River Bridge at mile twenty seven on the Southern Highway is also under water so motorists are advised to not use the Coastal Road.
