Security guard loses job and accused of stealing power tools

A female security guard, formerly employed at the Radisson Fort George Hotel lost her job after allegations arose that she was stealing power tools. Yliana Rocio Baizer was today arraigned for the Theft of a sander, power drill and a grinder; a total value of one thousand two hundred and fifty dollars. Manager of the Radisson, Jim Scott, reported on Thursday that the tools went missing from their warehouse between May eighth and ninth. By this morning, police detained Baizer and recovered the stolen sander, which will be used as evidence in the case. With no objections from the prosecution, bail was set at two thousand dollars, which Baizer met by two this afternoon. Her next court date is July fifteenth.

    Yet another woman turn criminal, this is happening too often even in Belize, this is too much even for me.

    She had a decent job, but that was not even enough so she had to steal from the people who hired her and trusted her.

    Some people in Belize really don’t want to get ahead by doing the right thing.
