Narcisa Orellano says she is not a human trafficker
A Honduran who relocated to the Jewel twelve years ago and has since been granted naturalized citizenship is now having problems with members of the San Ignacio Police. Narcisa Orellano, a mother of six, was recently accused of hiring a minor to work as a domestic at her home in Santa Elena and attempting to recruit the girl to work as a prostitute. That has landed her with a charge of Human Trafficking. But Orellano, who owns a restaurant, says the allegations have tarnished her reputation and is affecting her business. She came to our studios to make a public complaint against police because she says the charges are the result of their personal vendetta against her. Orellano walked us through her history with the police department leading up to the latest charges.
Narcisa Orellano, Accused of Human Trafficking (Translated)
“Why I came to Channel Five is to talk publicly about the corruption of the police in San Ignacio. We all have ears to hear and eyes to see. Many years ago I was knocked down when some posts had been stolen from me. I went to court and it was settled but nothing came out of it. After they knocked me down, I had personal difficulties with the police when they tried to violate someone. They charged him but still I don’t know what came out of that. I know that I am not strong enough to fight the Cayo police because they have their own ring but justice is justice. Four days later one of my sons was injured on the back. We made a complaint to the police and they didn’t do anything. Two months later, I was threatened by five robbers who put a gun to my head. They shot me in the foot three times. I don’t understand why it’s been three months and police still have not done anything. I had another problem with a guy who sold me a mixer and an amplifier and police came. I went back to court because I didn’t want any problems. Now the police is accusing me of the very serious charge of human trafficking but I can publicly say that I am not guilty and that police have not found the persons in question in my business or anywhere else. I want the police to do their full investigations and they will see that I am not guilty of anything. And as to the girl who made this report, she stole money from me and took my documents so now I can’t prove my nationality.”
How convenient that her documents got stolen by the victim reported in this story.
So many problems surround this woman and her family I am in awe, is it just bad luck, or is she just an awful person? Who cares, her story sound like bull to me and she knows it.
She did not clear her reputation by confessing all these things; actually her pathetic plea for attention makes her look like a crook to the bone.
Her story degenerate further into absurd, incoherent attacks against the victim, that my outrage against this woman is slowly giving way to baffle and confusion, over whether we should deport her or just ……………., to save our children.
woman go back to your country, or which planet you came from, you mess up , and we don’t need you here!! you know damm well she always have young girls working in her bar, and she know they are not only waitresses, but soemthing else too.
GO BACK WOMAN TO YOUR COUNTRY!!!
i think that we as a country should deport people like her to her country once a criminal offence has been made. prostituition is ilegal also against the Lords law. This is not the first case brought to light but many young latinas from across the borders from the neighbouring countries have been violated like this, taken advantage
The police are correct about the allegation. Let this woman fool no one. I have been to her establishment and she has offered the service of prostitutes shamelessly to me. I felt so embarassed but did not report it. After wards I took a lady friend there to witness what was going on. She committed to report this matter to the police. The activities going on there was so obvious to any one. How can she deny this. The police are no fools and they know about this business and they are right about this one.
