Cowboy stabbed in prison
There was a stabbing incident in the Tango Ten area of the Hattieville Prison on Saturday in which one inmate, Jeffrey Flowers, allegedly injured another prisoner on the upper abdomen. The victim is thirty-three year old Kevin Alvarez, but you might recognize him better by his nickname “Cowboy”. He is the former cop that turned outlaw in March of 2009 when he was implicated in the murder of a businessman in Orange Walk. After thirty-six year old Hui Lin Chen’s throat was slashed, police chased Alvarez who attempted to escape in the river. When police tried to convince him to come out of the water, he did but with two guns blazing. Three police officers were injured in the crossfire but Cowboy was caught and slapped with over eighteen charges. His Murder trial is still before the courts.
