Family of five charged for gun possession
Meanwhile at the Chief Magistrate’s courtroom, a family of five was charged for an unlicensed nine millimeter pistol that was hidden in a speaker box at their home. The weapon was found during a police search at around midday on Tuesday and Alice Bailey; her two sons, Devon and Rondale; her two daughters, Jeneka and a sixteen year old minor were all detained. When the firearm was first found, Rondale claimed that it was the property of the Customs Department where he is employed. Police later found out that was a lie and in court today the younger brother, eighteen year old Devon pleaded guilty to the firearm offense. Since he had no previous conviction for firearms, Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie imposed the minimum two year sentence. The charges against the rest of the family were withdrawn.

Whenever a youth gets himself into trouble with the law the police should also arrest the parents as well, bad parenting, breeds bad children.
this is to all you customs officers do your job and stop letting these guns into our country. You get the kick back so these things can enter our country and take away fod from the little people when they come through the boarder. Shame on all of you for being apart of the problem.

there goes maddyvandijk again always negative the same for newark two dummies always waiting anxiously to to stereotype and bash people u two act as if though you are God to be judging people maybe you’ll need help you probably had a rough time growing up i hope u guys don’t end up in the same or similar situations some day then again we may never know maybe it happened already and we don’t know.
Allexclusive, perhaps you should be the one to shut the … up, sick of your bad attitude, glad I am in cyber space you would probably shoot me just like the criminal you are pro-fan of.
Seems to get some kind of oral enjoyment from picking on me, pray to your god, condone criminal behavior, and write the things you think people want to hear, but stop judging yourself, and try to get out of that state of denial, it’s making you weak in the sense that your delusions of “reality” stem from a state of denial, and sadly the inability to critically analyze a situation.
NOTE: You have not commented once on the topic, instead you missed the whole point of this post and commenter’s, which is sick, really.
That is my honest opinion about this post and I am sticking to it, if you don’t like this comment, I have other’s.
Poof, Be gone.
ALLEXCLUSIVE i totally agree with you, on any piece of news i read there are comments posted by maddyvandijk…. and most (if not all) are negative….someone should kick her off the site..geez
Kamikaze, sounds like what you need is a dictator to run your country, tell you want, and how to do things, and keep your opinion to your selves.
Times have changed and people are entitled to their own opinions, I believe in “freedom of speech” obviously you do not. Women have been down and out, powerless and weak for too long, no need to set us back with remarks like this.
“Say something because you have something to say, not because you want to say something.”
Poof, be gone.
What if…
Devon Bailey and his family of five find it necessary to have a gun to protect themselves against the criminal elements?
Afterall, they live on Raccoon Street? If I had to live on that street, I’d want a gun too.
I’m curious to know this family’s background. Does Devon Bailey have any criminal records? Does anyone else in the family?
What led to the police search anyway?
I’m worried that this young Devon will come out of prison after his two year sentence a hardened, vengeful man, completely vunerable to criminal culture.
Makes me wonder if it would’ve been a better option to make him perform two years of community service instead.
Note: Channel 7 provided the home address. (That’s how I know they live on Raccoon Street.)
We all realize there is a need for reform in the BZE, however debating it will not change anything. Each individual need to do their civic duty -leg work in the school and communities, no need to point figures to our politician and police for not doing enough to curb whats happening in our country. laws are meant to be broken -that’s why there is a justice system when we make our mistakes. Look at economic footprint- no BAD GUYS – no prison – no jobs for the people that benefit from it- LAWYERS, DOCTORS , POLITICIAN AND you Maddyvandijk (nothing TO wimp about) stop free falling wake up -there is more to it than the cover reveals, that’s why it is happening in BZE. I am solider, as life change I make the necessary adjustment.
ay ay ay Maddyvandijk… the dicator sounds like you..since you write like you have the solution to all our problems in Belize..u talk about the demons in politicians, you have a solution for the violence “the parents should be arrested as well, bad parenting, breeds bad children” so perhaps we need you as your Prime minister huh? I recommend you read Devil’s Advocates comment he sounds objective enough. You should keep your closeminded disfunctional solutions for Belize’s Problems to yourself and let the People of Belize do what they can ok?
Poof, I’m Gone 🙂 haha
