Frenchman robbed of Cannon camera

A tourist is claiming he was robbed and beaten and today police say a Belize City resident of Central American Boulevard is the man who committed the crime. Sixty year old Alain Jean Charles Isambert, of France, was ambushed by two men and robbed of his camera as he and his wife were on Southern Foreshore on May thirty first. According to Isambert, both of his attackers were riding on separate bicycles when they approached him and took his Canon camera. Police picked up one of the two, and this morning, Paul White was arraigned for robbery.  He pleaded not guilty and was offered bail but a check of his records showed that he was indebted to the court to the tune of eight hundred and fifty dollars. The court ordered White to pay the court fines and when he could not, he was ordered to Hattieville.
