U.D.P. claims victory in majority of Village Council elections
Village council elections were held in the past weeks throughout the country. Most of the villages were hotly contested and both parties at one point or the other claimed the upper hand. The interesting element this time round was the number of independent slates that contested the vote. According to a release from the governing party, the U.D.P. won slam dunk in one hundred and twenty eight villages of the one hundred and ninety, a number which the P.U.P. is disputing and says it is inflated. According to the U.D.P., seventeen villages were won by independent slates. Earlier today, we are told, the P.U.P. appeared before the Chief Elections Officer to protest the results of the elections in the villages of Independence and Billy White while the U.D.P. protested the results in Palmar. In the case of the latter, it was thrown out but we are told a decision is pending for Independence and Billy White.
the UDP are winning in a very low margin,not as it was when they came in in power….the UDP said that the PUP will come to power until 20 years and they look afraid of the PUP already,they spent thousands and thousands of dollars like if it was a general election,shuks I never expected the UDP would be that afraid? And to note most of the “INDEPENDENT SLATES ” that won were mostly PUP’S,backed by the oposition but because of victimisation from the UDP gov’t they decided to run independent, but until general election gets closer they will turn back to the ‘BLUE MACHINE’. IN orange walk south the UDP spent thousand of thousand of dollars in the village of Yo Creek,buying votes from the PUP’S ,because they know they cannot win without the votes of the PUP’s ……and they were surprised that the mesage was sent to the UDP that Yo Creekenos are not for sale.the people of yocreek don’t want more victimisation,no more TAXES.NO MORE QUITAR OF TERENOS,ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
Maybe the PUP should look at the results and start thinking about what their next step will be to regain the confidence in the people. The Village Council results show that people still don’t trust the PUP so they need to tighten their belts. I have hear people say that this village council elections was like choosing the best of two evils, so there we have it. If the PUP is to be of any significance in the 2013 general elections they need to start working on that immediately.

I am very disappointed on how the Minister of Agriculture handles the importation of vegetables including the potaotes,and the most serious and killing on is why the importers have to be paying monies to the Belize Marketing Board for vegies there is cost of 5 cent per lbs of potaoes,cabbage, lettuce and carrots, and no sure the minister is thinking of also include cauliflower,celery and broccoli to th list,Mr.Prime Minister where are your promises.you are looking at the crime situation ans of guns and amunition how about the crime of minister thiefing the poor people. We the importers work hard for our money,and you tax us so much imagine we have to pay BAHA for the permit at the borders we have to pay BAHA and customs and if that not enough the officers at both office collect thier share also it depends how we want the service they ask us rapidito or slow if its rapidito is $200.00 depending what we bring it can be up to $500.00 and Quarantine also come for them share now tell me Prime minister what we are left with to support our family. These peple are killing us imagine BMDC collecting the least $500.00 from each importer per permit lets say x 10 importer how.We would like to know if the PM can address this.

honestly i don’t trust pup nor udp. the two are promises and promises with no results but the squinching of the poor to the last drop and they aregeting richer from the poorman’s work. so even if blue brings inovative ideas i don’t trust them now nor the udp even if they say we can get better if we are elected why not do it now when you’re in power and show the importance that we the regular people have in this country. because of all of us the poor thye are in power now forgeting that before election they we’re knocking at my door like sales persons ( merchants everyday interupting our family meals. enough is enough no more waps to be swallowed we need a third party please.
What Belizeans need to do now is to put their trusts in a new party and vote for new leaders.
If the majority of the people do not vote for PUP, they vote for UDP, all the Belizeans know by now that both of PUP and UDP leaders are idiots with too much power. How have they become so powerful? Because people continue to trust and vote for them over and over again.
Trust me if you vote for a new party and they mess up, you won’t notice the difference.
People, why don´t you accept that UDp still has the power in Belize!!!

To both of you, and to my dear brothers and sisters of my beloved Belize—you are both so absolutely right! The key words you both used were “trust,” and “new party.” If only we could all realize and accept and surrender to the fact that the only new party and new trust that our country needs, has the name of Jesus Christ. We’ve tried all the others and they’ve failed. Isn’t it time to try the Best, who cannot and will not fail? We need to return to righteousness in our country. For too long we have turned our back on the way of faith. We have sown the wind and are now reaping the whirlwind. How long will it be before we come to the place where our eyes and hearts are opened to see and receive that He truly is the only way to lasting peace. I continue to pray for my beloved country.
The people in Belize get no help from the representatives they give their vote to. As soon as they get into office they forget the poor people of Belize. They will send fro people who never even vote for them to come back to Belize and offer them jobs. Think about Belize Health care system think of your family members it might be one of your family next. If you cannot fly your relative to another country they will die because simple medical interventions or diagnostic test. Every country need psychiatric care for patients and a psychiatric hospital . Did the government close down the one in Belize ? When its their relatives that “s the only time they care. But remember health care problem is for everyone.Prostate Cancer and many more health care issues to follow you leaders.
THE UDP is the gov’t now yes, elected by the people for the “people”,and what we see now is a dictator gov’t wanting to do as they please ,giving oil exploration permits to diferent companies? they really don’t think about the damage they are causing and its good that the NGO’s, are uniting against all this mischief going on with the dean barrow gov’t ,and stand for what is right.if the PUP did wrong they have paid for it.and now because the UDP feels that they are the “MAJORITY” in gov’t they can do what they feel fi do? they are wrong the people are watching !!!!!!! and where is all the money collected from the oil revenues going? as we see the tax has increased {KILLA VAT},unemployment is high,crime is out of control, we have 46% of the country in poverty? and going up!!!!!! with a govt’ collecting millions in oil revenues\taxes, thatz what we have? POVERTY,UNEMPLOYMENT,INCREASE IN TAXES? where are we going from here?NO WHERE, see its nearly 3 years that the kendal bridge was swept away from the south and it hasn’t been replaced,thatz a burden for the people of the south,why hasn’t anything been done? the prime minister needs to focuse in the needs of the people, not in his sweethearts\cronies, STOP THE VICTIMISATION !!!!! start work for the “PEOPLE”. It does not matter who is in power, they both steal from the Belizean people. It’s funny how the politicians go from being a poor belizean to being loaded, with a new house, new car, new business. Of course they only think about their pockets. It doesn’t matter who is running, stop promising false promises and just say the truth… Belizeans, I want your money, I want your land, I do not care if you help me during my campaign, cause after i win, i don’t know you, never knew you, get out of my way.
Belize is just going Down Hill and it’s the goverments fault. Nothing is getting better, our towns are just getting worst, no jobs for new graduates, where is the future for our kids???!! there is none… It is sad, Belize was good at one point in time, but now, it’s a shame we even ever got independance, we would have been better off just belonging to England, at least they are better off.
