Daniel Cowo perishes in Northern Highway accident
While fifteen year old Shaquille Bennett was murdered, a road traffic mishap in the Orange Walk District over the weekend claimed the life of fifty year old Daniel Cowo. On Sunday Cowo, a resident of San Antonio Village, was riding in a grey Mitsubishi pickup traveling along the Guinea Grass Road in the direction of Orange Walk Town. The vehicle, driven at the time by thirty-seven year old Gomercindo Baizar, reportedly suffered blowouts to the front and rear right wheels upon nearing the junction with the Northern Highway. Orange Walk Police say Baizar reportedly lost control of the vehicle causing it to overturn. Cowo, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, suffered severe head injuries and died on the spot. A third passenger, identified as forty year old Nolberto Garcia, also of San Antonio, was transported along with Baizar to the Northern Regional Hospital where he was treated and released for injuries received during the incident. Baizar remains hospitalized in a stable condition while a post mortem examination was conducted on Cowo earlier today.

I hear that a lot, that wheels of the vehicles suffered blowouts and causes accidents and deaths. This can be avoided if only a system was set up to do yearly checkups on vehicles. People are driving with vehicles in Belize that should be illegal on roads.
I want to pray for the family of the deceased. May he rest in Peace. I also pray for all and everyone who has been impacted by this tragedy. I pray the Lord will give them strength and the courage to continue to embrace life in spite of this time of sorrow. The bible tells us “to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord” The Lord thy God will sustain you and keep all who are afflicted at this time. He will mount you up on wings as eagels. I call upon Jehovah Jireh for the strength that you will need as you recover after your lost. Peace be with you and God bless you!…For more ways to find peace, please go to (www.undertheblood.us)…..I live in Atlanta Ga, and I am a Belizean.
So sad to hear that tragic incident … deepest condolence to the Cowo Family in San Antonio Village , OW ..
I agree there should be a check up for vehicle that appropriate procedures are taken such as regular cheek up of wheels / spares etc. And the roads they need to be fix cas some are in a condition that its regreting sad to mention.
Its not the first accident happening up north ..
ppL SHOULD REVISE AND CHECK THEIR VEHICLE SINCE THE ONE DRIVIN IS RESPONSIBLEFOR HS LIFE AND THE LIFE OF HS PASSENGERS .
