Prisoner found dead in prison pond
Police are also reporting tonight on a drowning at the compound of the Hattieville Prison. The lifeless body of an inmate remains at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for a post mortem examination to determine the cause of death. Sometime around two-thirty p.m. this past Friday, June fourth, nineteen year old Eustaqueio Patt, who was incarcerated for theft and escape, went swimming along with several inmates in a pond inside the prison compound. While we have no information that the other inmates reported the matter, a routine check conducted by prison officials around three that afternoon proved that Patt was missing. A search party scoured the pond where they later discovered his unresponsive body. While Patt’s body displayed no visible signs of physical injuries a check of his mouth showed blood on his teeth. He was taken to the medical center at the prison where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
What the hell was these prisoner’s doing swimming,seem’s to me they are more at a resort,than prison.Belize is just one big circus,with all those clowns running it.
The prisoners get to go smimming as well, no guards armed with guns at the edge of the pond.

It’s certainly hot this time of the year so these poor guys need to cool off. Apparently the 100 fans John Woods bought them the other day didn’t suffice. next they will demand A C. has anyone ever done a study to compare crime statistics before and after Woods took over the prison?? he claims he does it for the good of the country….. A former CEO now owns 18 houses countrywide built with prison labour…. Wonder what Woods owns courtesy of the prisoners and taxpayers money?
I’ve been working there for the past .2.years an lot of things are hapening. John woods is running the show. The chief of security mr.casimiro is the puppet because what woods says he does. Woods doesnT knw anyting about prison but he is the chairman. The prisoners run the prison together witH woods nt us the officers. Something has to be done. Bottom line they do it for the money. Goverment open your eyes an take over the prison.
thank you PRISON OFFICER for bringing this to light hoping that the authorities that should be concerned should read your comment and deal with it. i’m wondering why is woods in place can’t we have a proud respectful belizean to to the job or will be keep depending from foreigners to take control of certain things. his getting the applause abroad not a belizena and under it he’s not doing his job as the prison officer says and i kind of believe him nothing wrong to believe him say what he sees and goes through at his work place.
I neva know dat Kolby Foundation has swimming pool too!! Hmmmm no wonder dem bad bway can’t wait to go there, free meal, bed, sewrage and bath, TV, sports, Gym, aha aha, now I can see who is behind this crimes in our counrty!!!
