Bono and companion survive road accident

In the north, a woman is still at the Northern Regional Hospital following a traffic accident in the Orange Walk District. According to Orange Walk police, shortly before midnight on Sunday, Francisca Bono and another female known to them only as Reina were travelling on San Antonio Road towards Yo Creek Village in a Mazda pickup when the vehicle overturned.  Initial investigations show that upon approaching Vega’s Distributors, a white car travelling in the same direction swerved in front of the pickup to avoid collision. Bono lost control of her vehicle and flipped several times and hit the lower flat of a house before coming to a complete stop. While Bono managed to crawl out of the vehicle, Reina was trapped. She was later removed and rushed to the hospital in an unconscious state.  Police say they are taking tests to determine if the women had consumed alcohol.
