68% say Chief Justice is being treated unfairly by government

The views expressed on the e-poll does not necessarily reflect the views of this Station. On Thursday we asked the question: Do you feel that the Chief Justice is being treated fairly by the government? Our e-poll shows that sixty-eight percent of the viewers are of the sentiments that the Chief Justice is being treated unfairly. But while they are not too happy with the manner in which the government is ‘squeezing’ Doctor Conteh, they are in the opinion that the justice system must improve in order to curb crime.

the justice itsself meaning the court systemis forced to release many criminals because of the police lacking in investigational skills and equipment, this is needed to bring evidence and witnesses to court for legal convictions.the present system invites corruption from our police and polictical leaders which further the promote crime, when the general public see their actions that erodes confidence in the system. the community policing efforts will only make positive change when the examples starting at the top follow the rule of law to encourge confidence in the system itself. the chief justice has been a rock standing fo the rule of law for justice, and the present move by GOB may futher erode confidence in the system.
