Prime Minister’s security measures on high alert

The rampant violence on the streets of Belize City has reached crisis proportions. No longer do criminals wait for the cover of darkness to attack.  The Prime Minister’s law office, Barrow and Williams, was shot at by an unknown assailant on April fifteenth, a bright Thursday morning.  On the night of May thirty-first, the P.M. law partner, Rodwell Williams, was shot as he left the building and he was in the company of an unarmed security guard.  Williams is still in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida. Due to the gravity of the violence, the security of the P.M. has been upgraded. At the offices of Barrow and Williams on Albert Street, new video cameras have been installed at opposite ends of the building. Armed police officers are also present at the north and south end of the building.   Doug Singh, Minister of Police, told News Five today that threats are everyday occurrences, and that the Prime Minister always has adequate security. In downtown Belize at the courts, security has been somewhat improved since the murder of Andre Trapp last week. There is more scrutiny of persons going in and out of the courts.

The prime minister famalies and friends will be protected first, the rest of the Belizeans can just go to hell, as far as he is concerned.

There should be video cameras at every stop light, and if there are no stop lights in Belize city installed some throughout Belize city.

But just imagine how more chaotic things would be if the leader was killed? People need a leader. I think the security measures for the P.M. are justified.

Maddyvandijk, I’m guessing you got your idea from the London crime cameras. If London can barely afford them, how could we possibly afford them?

I know it’s hard to accept that the PM gets top notch protection, but I can see the necessity. High public profile = high personal threat.

Let’s just hope that with this heightened protection of the PM he can feel safe to come up with the necessary solutions to our crime problems.

Pm have right to be protected!!!! Because I am not involve in drugs or gangs, I don’t see the need for protection for myself or my children, and grand children. These people reap what they sow!!!!!As long as you are involve in illegal activites, you will always be haunted, until they kill you or you kill them!!!

Now PM, Hon Singh, please start to hang these men, they have no mercy for others or themselves,
why should PM feel sorry for them? Why Mr Singh should feel sorry for them?

HANG THEM FOR GOD SAKE HANG THEM!!!!!!
