Multiple shots fired at Emerson Gill on Banak Street
The bloodbath across Belize City continued today as another man was fired upon multiple times by gunmen on bicycles. Reports are that shortly after one o’clock this afternoon, Emerson Gill was walking along Banak Street near its intersection with Central American Boulevard when two young men rode up to him and fired as many as four shots in his direction. It is also reported that police officers who were in the area at the time responded to the scene of the shooting where they also came under fire by the assailants. Both men then made good their escape. Gill, from what we understand, has no criminal record and according to one source, is an activist in the area. Police are said to be on high alert as we start the weekend.
