Hotelier charged for unlicensed gun and ammunition
A well-known hotelier and basketball enthusiast, Tommy Shaw, was questioned over the weekend in connection with an ongoing investigation in the death of Neisa Pipersburgh. When his Belama Phase two home was searched, police found two unlicensed firearms; a point twelve shotgun and a revolver along ammunition were found at his home. Shaw was taken to court this morning and charged with keeping unlicensed firearm and ammunition. Bail could not be granted but the Senior Magistrate explained to Shaw that he could apply for bail to the Supreme Court. His attorney Michael Peyrefitte began to process the application immediately. Shaw’s case was adjourned for July twenty-first. Police were following a lead that Pipersburgh was at Shaw’s house at a party in the days prior to her disappearance. He has, however, not been charged in that case.

Did the police have a search warrant or did they just bust in??? Does Belize police need a search warrant???
My Belizean sisters be careful of who your kids associate themselves with.
He says he works where all the interesting people meet.
From what I understand his firearms were previously licensed but somehow he let the licenses lapse.
If the expiry date on those licenses is less than three months and he pleads guilty he gets fined instead of going to jail. But if its more than three months then it is as if he had gotten the firearms from the street thugs.
He who has the $$$$ gets away with everything.the rich, the croooks with a lawdegree are all free to do as they want.
How many Belizeans have guns in their home that they forget to renew lic’s for? How many of us forget to renew our car license? Just bec the dude have unlic guns (2) in his house does not make him a bad person. You people just like “gossip” and u like bad news and enjoy spreading bad news. This could very easily happen to one of your friends or uncles or brothers or fathers. And they are not bad people, right?AND it is OKAY to associate with them too right? The way this country is now…. i no blame anyone who keeps a gun in their house.
Yes Earl, A Police do need a Search warrant to come into your home, unless you of course you let them ;( or they suspect drugs). There was an incident, where they wanted to search my bro’s home for a missing Phone. I was the only one at the house at that time. They wanted to barge in but i stopped them at the door n told them i know my rights and that they cant enter until he was present or until they are in possession of a search warrant. U know what they did? It was funny….. they waited an hour outside the house for my brother to returned. The system… some ppl know their rights, others dont.
Its sad that you , Jesse, so quick to draw conclusions. Who told you that these people have money? They work as hard or harder than you because they own their own business.its sad the state of affairs, people quick to judge each other.
@ Elgin Martinez** No matter how long or how much Parents talk…… their children asociate with who they want. Tommy probably made a mistake and kept putting back the task of renewing his liscense nobody perfect!A Jesse he works hard 4 what he has…….b4….wait unitl u r in d situation urself or until 1 of ur loved ones is in trouble…… uw ill b singing another tune!
