Summer camps are expected to continue next week despite the change in weather. According to the founder of one camp, one thousand two hundred kids have been a part of the program since it started seven years ago. Peter Lacey says this year, his educational program will be more interactive and it will be held at the Lion’s Clinic in Belize City.

Peter Lacey, Pre Std 1 to 6, Summer Program

“This year we’re moving into interactive learning so we’ll be doing a lot of group activities and moving away from the usual chalk and talk during the year. The venue has been changed from the Leo Bradley Library to just the Lion’s Club. It was both the Leo Bradley Library and the Lion’s Club but it has changed to the Lion’s Club. The dates are the same, the twenty-eighth of June to the seventh of July but we have merged our sessions. The infant two is Tuesday and Thursday from eight to eleven; standard one is Monday, Wednesday and Friday eight to ten; standard two is Monday, Wednesday and Friday ten-thirty to twelve-thirty, standard three is Monday, Wednesday and Friday one to three and standard five and six is Tuesday and Thursday one to four.”

Last day for registration is Saturday June twenty sixth and the doors at the Lion’s Club will be open from nine am to one pm.  The camp starts on Monday, June twenty eight and concludes on July seventh.
