Blancaneaux stabbed while sleeping in his bed

Elsewhere in the city, a senior citizen was viciously attacked early Thursday morning. What’s most disturbing about the attack is that the victim was not at a crime hotspot; he was right at home, sleeping in his bed. At five fifteen a.m., sixty two year old Percival Blancaneaux, of Taylor’s Alley was in bed when someone entered his home through a window. Blancaneaux was awakened by the terrible pain and realized that he had been stabbed to the right side of his chest. The assailant fled the scene and nothing was stolen or removed from the home. Blancaneaux was taken to the K.H.M.H. where he was admitted and remains in a stable condition. He was doing well when we checked the hospital but he denied requests for an interview.
