Fifty-one year old charged for stealing a cop’s bike

This morning, fifty-one year old Mandy Usher of Belize City appeared in court to answer charges relating to the theft of a bicycle belonging to Special Constable, Coleen Banks. The forty-two year-old Special Constable alleges that she parked her Beach cruiser bicycle at her yard before leaving to work on July sixth. She soon spotted Usher as he slung the bike over the fence of a neighbor and then got away with it. Usher, however, pleaded not guilty to the theft of the bike and after meeting bail he left the magistrate court.

Michael Plunkett

Another man was also charged today with attempted theft; Michael Plunkett is accused of trying to steal a car belonging to Judith Bood early in the morning of June ninth.  Bood reported to police that she parked her Nissan Altimar car in front of her home when Plunkett allegedly attempted to steal it. Her allegations was bolstered two eyewitness accounts.  In court this morning, Plunkett who was unrepresented pleaded not guilty to the charge and his case was adjourned for September third.
