Seawell brothers may be closer to being extradited to the US
Brothers Mark and Gary Seawell have met another legal hurdle as a judgment handed down by Supreme Court Justice John Muria today paved the way for an extradition hearing to begin as early as August thirtieth. The siblings, who are on remand at the Hattieville Prison for drug trafficking and other offences, are fighting to remain in Belize despite an extradition request by U.S. authorities for a series of drug related crimes committed during the mid-nineties. On Monday Crown Counsel Magali Perdomo presented bundle documents to the court which were submitted by the U.S. Department of Justice outlining the reasons why the brothers should be handed over to the United States. Today in court Justice Muria ruled that an extradition treaty signed between Belize and the United Kingdom in 1870 is applicable to this particular case. Attorney for the Seawell brothers, Arthur Saldivar, says today’s ruling is a hindrance but an appeal can be expected.

“Today what occurred was that the judgement was handed down by Justice Muria in relation to application made in relation to Mark Seawell. That application, as I had explained prior, involved the question as to whether or not the 1970 United Kingdom Extradition act applied as it relates to section nine and the treaty between the US and Belize that was signed in the year 2000. According to Justice Muria, he found reason to believe that the 1870 extradition act actually applied. Of course, this was not what the claimant was seeking and we find reason to seek a further clarification of the point because we believe that the position that section nine basically abrogates or basically does away with the UK tradition act and basically renders it inapplicable that that should stand. And by virtue of that, then the constitutional rights of Mr. Seawell is in fact being oppressed.”

“So where do you go from here as legal counsel to this particular matter?”
Arthur Saldivar
“Well, as this judgment affects the proceeding regarding Gary Seawell, the intention now is to seek again an appeal of this matter at the Court of Appeal, to have the justices there review the application and make a further determination as to whether or not the ruling of justice Muria should stand. Basically, again it is something that we believe, not only for these clients but for any person who should at whatever time be in a position to have the United States, or any other country for that matter, seek their extradition, that we know that such proceedings would be done lawfully. At this time we’re saying that given our interpretation of the law, that it is unconstitutional for the extradition to proceed. That is serious question and it is one that needs to be addressed so that every person when they find themselves in that position may avail themselves what is the real situation as it relates to law.”
Why waste the courts time and the peoples money with continued hearings for the Sewall brothers? Put the sobs on the next plane to the US. The committed the crimes now let them serve the time.
I wonder if the Justices of Belize are aware of the many well documented informastion on the Internet that were placed there by USA drudgs Agent who made sworn statement (affidavit if you please) nameing names of high officials in the United Stetes of America government who are dileberately and wilfully involve in drugs trafficing into the USA. There is the information about a former Los Angeles Police who confronted the most senior drugs DEA when he went to Los Angeles to try and put down the wide spread rumor that Law Enforcement was placing drugs in the black communities. The DEA was told in no uncertain terms by the LAPD that he bear witness to the alligations to be the truth.
The same goes for all the drugs runnings in Latin America. This is why there áre so much drugs violence in Mexico. The drugs business has been big business at the top for many years and these boys will not give it up without a serious fight. What we sowe we reap. Many drugs agent of the USA has said repeatidly that the so-call war against drugs is a loosing battle. They know who is pushing drugs because they are involve also. Why does individuals that are convicted for heroin get lest gail time than those convicted for cocain? Read abot the drugs business from the golden triangle, south east Asia and you will know why. How about the willful drugs business to pay for the Contra war in Central America? This information is not the figment of somebody’s imagination.
This drugs business is perhaps, next to Arms business, the most diobolical drain on the human race. After many at the top put this menace in motion they also become owners of the prisons in the USA where they are paid huge sums to keep someone locked up; much more than it cost to give a good education. Oh! yes, its hard for many in the public to believe that individuals who took an oath to defend and carry out real justice can be so wicked. Its because of this blind trust that give them cover to carry out such wickedness and abuse so many. Just like the child molesters that hides behind being religeous leaders. Go on the Internet and find out what the former head of the FBI in Los Angeles has uncovered about crime in high places.
To hell with so-call treaty, these guys should never be extradited. Why don’t they get Israel to extradite any of their citizens? Hell freezes over before that ever happen, because Israel is too powerful to play by anybody elce’s rules. Its all about power and abuse of the weak. We see countries that can hardly defend themselves been attack, while so call rough country like North Korea is left alone. Lots of huffing and blowing, but no touching. Wake up people, only truth and knowledge guarantee power. Its good that their attorney is putting up a fight on their behalf, but the raw reality is, what uncle Sam wants uncle Sam gets. Mark my word: if they are not extradited suttle financial pressure will be brought to bear on Belize as punishment, such as the case when Jamaica had refused to turn over Dudus Coke. One day they woke up and found out that their commercial ratings was of JUNK BONDS ratings. As a result of that, they had to give up Coke at lost of many lives.
Unless and untill the masses come to understand how this wicked conspiracy against the lower strata on our planet is carried out, these abuse will continue into the foreseable future.
