Viewers give mixed response on the removal of ComPol Jeffries

The Commissioner of Police, Crispin Jefferies, has been told by his Minister that his management approach is not effective and he is likely on the out way out. So on Thursday we asked: do you believe that the removal of Crispin Jefferies as Compol will curb crime? There was not a big difference in the number of those who agreed from those who did not. Fifty-three percent of you viewers support replacing Jefferies. One viewer said “yes, he does not know how to run the department and removing will bring change”. The other forty-seven percent of our viewers, however, do not think that Jefferies’ removal will reduce the bloodshed and violence on the streets. One said on our IMS “removing him won’t lower crime.
