Mother and 14 yr old drop carnal knowledge charge against ex-boyfriend

He was nineteen and she was fourteen years old and they claimed they were dating but according to the law it is an offence to engage in sexual intercourse with a minor. William Torres was accused of sexually abusing twice in October of 2008, the young girl at the home of a cousin that she frequented. But earlier today Torres was freed after the minor and her mother told the court they did not want to proceed to trial. The girl said she had endured enough while the mother said sending Torres to jail would mean he would not have a good future. Prosecutor, Christelle Wilson, who had already selected a jury of nine persons to hear the case, made an application in open court asking Judge Herbert Lord to withdraw the two charges against Torres since she could not proceed any further with the case of carnal knowledge.
The father was right, he wanted the boy prosecuted. The child did not have the right to consent & he did her at her cousin’s house because her father had standards & would not allow it in his house. Some of you have commented on the young girls being trashy. When we have grown men ….. our children, parents & grandparents who don’t believe them or sweep it under the rug to hide their shame, we shouldn’t wonder why some of these girls behave slutty. Prosecution is a deterrent.
What a pathetic mother, she is more concerned about the future of her daughter rapist than she is about her own daughter.
How can any man respect your daughters when the mothers are sending mix messages out to those insane men out ther.
It’s about time the law deals with these offenders, it shouldn’t matter if the mother or child doesn’t want to go to trial, it is a criminal act and as such the state should prosecute. in this case the evidence was already submitted and the case should proceed. until these offenders are prosecuted fully and completely we will always see these cases in the news. how can we teach right and wrong if the law is wrong and allows freedom especially in child sex crimes.
These type of crimes along with crimes like sposal abuse should become crimes against the State so once the complaint is lodged at the court it can never be withdrawn by family nor by the victim.
So now my child wa hafo de pan the look out for this young man. what is this. somebody else pickiny wa get rape by he. He no wa change if the good Lord no change him. That is why our country is in the situation it is in now.
i tink the mother’s out there are too occupied on other tings than their daughters….honestly mothers are not even considering the type of music that their daughters are listening to and also the type of boys they are so called dating!! also i tink mothers should do regular check ups to the gynecologist not because they dont trust their daughters but i tink it is a good way of the mother knowing her daughter and she should talk to her also! because their are alot of young girls in ages 12-16 dat have had sex already like wit 6 or more guys n the guys are not young guys they are big men!so to all mother talk to your daughters and do take them to the doctor…i guess alot of mothers wloud be very suprise to hear and see wat their daughters are doin!!!!
when a child is to be bad she will be you never know maybe they are meant to be. something is not right we don’t know the full story behind this maybe the father want to play with her the same why you never know now one is this life style.can’t judge one side.
Sound like this girl’s mother got payed off.All of a sudden you’re concerned more about the accused than your own daughter who is the victim.
It’s not rape unless it’s against her will…..Clearly the daughter and the mother don’t want to press charges against the guy. Why?, i have no idea but i bet the reason she gave for not pressing charges is bogus. We can’t always blame the male figure when it comes to these situations. The girl clearly doesn’t seem to be bothered by it or trying to make a big fuss about being raped, abused or taken advantage of if that even was the case. I believe that everyone has the right to do as they wish with his or her own body and with whomever they please. If you a person don’t have any rights over your own body, then you shouldn’t have any rights at all in the first place. No other man or woman should decide what you can and cannot do with your own body. If the girl wants to sleep with the guy thats her business, why bother trying to make it a big issue and drag it all over the news and in the courts…
There is a difference between a child being bad & an adult taking advantage of her & possibly changing the direction of her life. It is ignorant to assume that the father had any motives other than making sure this man does not do this to another child & that he think twice b4 breaking the law again.
An 11 year old had a baby in 1971, she was forced to marry her rapist, a common law husband missed his wife & entered her two year old, he was not prosecuted, the wife swore that it was an accident. We have to stop treating statutory rape as a behavior issue instead of a crime.

Because of the seriousness of living developing societies would rather that our children wait until they are quite older before indulging in sexual activity. But sexual urges vary from undividual to individual. Humanity have had to deal with the complexity of sex over and over, and there seem to be no real answer in sight. Some societies are rift with tabo while otheres just let it be according what two consenting individuas agree on. Yes she is only fourteen, but not all fourteen year old are the same. In some soceties that age is accepted practice. They don’t want to press charges and that’s there parogative. Those who don’t like the idea, well that’s your opinion, but in this case, get over it.
let hope they get married, and by the way this prosecutor CHRISELLE WILSON, hmm I wonder if she is related to the FAKE POLICEMAN!!!!!
