Unregistered mystery boat at the Municipal Airstrip
On Saturday morning, rumors were rife that an alleged drug boat had washed up on Belizean shores. Employees at the Municipal Airstrip told officers that they had detected a mystery boat that was moored at the end of the airstrip. An Anti Drug Unit boat was deployed to the scene and an amateur video clearly shows at least two officers at the end of the strip on one of the boats. The boat was so close to the strip that planes literally swept over the two boats upon landing. According to one airport employee, two more boats arrived on the scene shortly after this amateur video footage was taken. 
Officers initially pulled out their firearms on the first boat which had four men on board. The men were upset and claimed that the boat was theirs. While the men were being questioned, another boat pulled up alongside the Anti Drug Unit’s boat. According to eyewitnesses, a government minister was on this other vessel with the alleged owner of the disabled boat. A short while later three boats left the scene leaving behind the Anti Drug Unit team. What our news team has learnt is that the disabled boat was neither licensed nor registered and that there was alleged ministerial interference in the police investigation.
What happened to the drugs? Which Minister intervened?

Man…people out here already know who is the Minister…unfortunately the amateur video did not capture it or did they…an evidence that is damning should it had been…

Come on people, let us stop protecting these no good politicians, (i refer to both parties) if anyone knows the name of the politician , post it so the whole world will know, just like how the media always put our children story on the news
Let’s ask the Minister, who was in the middle of this; if the “opposition” sent him there. As we well know, the opposition gets the blame for everything else. Let’s get some feedback from the P.M., or for that matter; from “this rougue Minister”.
always a cover up. i live and work here in Belize. why does any minister need to be there. let the cops do their job. a minister’s presence by an unregistered boat near an airstrip? please, you make the situation worse, even if it is innocent.

When “ministers” are protected with annonimity….Belizeans, raise your voices and demand accountability from your government and journalists!
I agree that the Minster’s name should be posted so we can see begin to see the level of corruption that is taking place in our government system!!!!!
If there were true FREEDOM OF THE PRESS………. CHANNEL-5 WOULD REPORT THE NEWS ….. TELLING THE PEOPLE …… ….. Have the lawyers deal with it later.
