Duets, another family oriented program starts with a bang
Hundreds of fans made their way and packed the Bliss auditorium Tuesday night for the grand opening of the Season Three of Duets, Channel Five’s Live entertainment show. Duets got off to a fabulous start with excellent performances by the seven competing duos of Group A. The costumes were appropriately designed, the storyline was well scripted and the singing was dangerously close to the original versions. The undiscovered talent that appeared on stage set the tone for the rest of the thirteen week season and the cultural diversity was a big hit with the live audience and viewers at home. The judges were fair and balanced in their evaluation and all be told it was an evening of great fun with memorable moments by the seven duos. It would be nice to separate the singing from the drama/dancing…in singing…originality can be evaluated but how can you evaluate dancing originality? These are completely different categories…
