Fake Cop even acted like a rogue cop and almost made busts

aaron wilson

Aaron Wilson is now behind bars at the Hattieville prison. Wilson passed himself off as a police officer for six months and claimed he operated out of the Eastern Division for months. He fooled the department and even his own common-law-wife. That has earned him the name of fake cop. His cover was blown when a recent allegation of inappropriate sexual conduct was made against twenty year old Wilson. The impersonator made the headlines on Monday when nineteen year old Shannon Martinez accused Wilson of attempting to kiss and fondle her while he was dropping her home in his vehicle.  That incident happened shortly after Wilson threatened to kill her ex-boyfriend.  A formal complaint was lodged at the Internal Affairs Department and it was discovered that the accused wasn’t only a rogue cop; in fact, he was not even an officer of the law.

And now, several individuals are now coming forward with testimony of encounters with the fake cop. Among the many who may have unknowingly had a run-in with the great pretender is, Jermyn, the younger brother of the late Christopher Galvez whose December 2009 murder set off a slew of allegations against the police department.  The incident took place in the early hours of June nineteenth while Jermyn, his girlfriend and a few friends were out on the town celebrating the outcome of the N.B.A. Championship.  While partying at a popular nightspot on Newtown Barracks the group got into an altercation with the fake police officer who reportedly accused Jermyn of tossing a drink at him.

Jermyn Galvez, Had Run-in with Fake Cop

“When I was there with my friends and family someone threw a drink downstairs and the person dressed in a police officer’s suit came to me and started telling me that “let’s go, let’s go ah wah charge you fu throw wah drink pan me.”  And I explained to ah how you wah charge me fu something I noh do.  I still gah my drink inna my hand and he di insist pan he wah ker me fu charge me, you know.  So, ah mean, the crowd come round fu see weh di happen because like, yo know, I di shub ah offa me and ting yo know cah ih di try pull me and then [uhm] he pull out ih gun and he crank ih gun and da so like the crowd move weh and the security guard come and tell me best I go and ting yo know.  So I tell ah I mih di leave anyway.  I gone downstairs and the policeman still follow me downstairs and he insist that he wah charge me so I di explain to ah you cyaan charge me fu something I noh do.  But he still wah ker me, I noh know weh cah ih say ih wah charge me yo know.  So afta that I dih walk towards my vehicle weh park inna the direction of fisheries right cah we di left from Thirsty Thursday.  When I look back I see two police had my lee bredda hold up against a vehicle right.  So I turn back and I run towards he and the same guy weh wanted to charge me he shouted weh you di run fa and ih buss wah shot ova my head.  So I tell ah shoot me if yo wah shoot me, yo know, and then he di tell me turn back, yo know, and I tell ah no I noh di turn back.  I wah know weh unnu di do wid my lee bredda ih buss wah next shot right pan di ground right front ah me.”

Fortunately, Galvez wasn’t injured during the melee but he is now questioning what was the motive behind fake constable 737 desired to escort him to a police station when he was attached to none.

Jermyn Galvez

“If I mih gaan wid da man da night when he wahn charge me fih all yo know dehn di set fu kill me like how dehn kill my bredda yo know.  And fu mek dis man di work duties dah dehn club I have to be the people dehn weh in charge a Eastern Division behind this or something because dehn cyan just go work dah wah club without fi dehn authority yo know, without dehn give the go ahead so I noh know weh kinda, if dehn just ignorant to dehn department or if dehn deh pan wah separate payroll or I no know weh kinda dealings dehn have with each other, weh kinda racket dehn di run yo know.”

Belize City police upon realizing that Wilson was indeed a fake cop recovered from him two sets of police uniforms, a hat and badge, his fake ID and other related police equipment.  There is no word, however, whether the weapon he allegedly used to fire at Jermyn was also a service weapon.

It could easily have been that the fake cop was secretly hired by an official from the department to take out people when the department felt threaten, or when the head official don’t want to get his hands dirty, I bet that he was getting paid from the department as well.

He could also be the one making threats against belize for justice, the bad cop who stole and destroyed files, etc. Funny, how sometimes we get to hear from officials that they have no knowledge of certain reports made by people. I bet there are more fake cops lingering right now in the police department, they should arrest jefferies, perhaps he is the biggest fake cop in the force, get rid of him as soon as possible.

This is just another case of negligence from that darn police department, I wonder what tight lip jefferies has to say about him harbouring this fake cop under his watch, this is just another reason why he really need to piss off from the police department, go and leave no trace or ties behind.

may be he also work as a hitman we never know from all killings that have happen, why not check his cell numbers or some more info on him. he might be a silent killer and we don’t know.

Hmmm..this does not help the Police Department look better in the eyes of the community. Transparency is not a word that is used by our Belize Police Department. There are far too many officers who are connected well politically and with the criminal element so i dont expect any changes. The public now wonders how many fake cops exist out there. There’s the old saying..if you can’t beat them….join them…well it seems that Mr. Fake Cop Wilson did just that. Its a shame but our Police Department needs an urgent shake up, and clean up, from the requirements they have in recruiting new officers to the little training that they get, to the living conditions that they have to put up with, oh its a big challenge but i see no ministers giving these concerns any serious thought other than talking to the media so they look good…

  7. deedee says:

This guy is out of his mind mein…pretending to be a police officer is one thing, but then he had his girlfriend & family fooled too. If he wasn’t a real police officer, how did he make money ? He must be on someone’s payroll.

We REALLY NEED an FBI type organization. A LAW ENFORCEMENT body……………………. INDEPENDENT of the POLICE department AND THE MILITARY……….. Sworn to up hold the LAWS of BELIZE.!!!!!! BELIZE is THE FIFTY-NINTH STATE of the United States Of America. IT is in THEIR BEST INTEREST to Step-UP with some ASSISTANCE. WE DON’T WANNA BE like JUAREZ, MEXICO.

  15. mellowbelizean says:

deedee and Elgin Martinez are absolutely right. How did this man get paid? Follow the money trail and see who signed off on his cheques or his vouchers. If they tried to be slick and paid him in cash, simply see what account had regular significant debits and who made the withdrawals. He wasn’t driving a fake vehicle, filling up with fake gas or eating fake food — so he definitely wasn’t spending fake money!

  16. lalf says:

that fake cop should get maximum penalty, he is defenitely a killer

  17. Mar says:

This fake cop could easily have civilians think he was a Police Officer, especially with a uniform badge and fake I.D. The police department must be investigated because he could never fool the Department and pass as a Police Officer without being noticed by someone in the Department. Belizeans are not that stupid to believe that one. He could never fool the Police Department and have them think he was a real Police Officer but he has certainly made them look like fools.

  18. tim says:

Mar, the departamento de policia are a bunch of fools and crooks! Let’s wait and see what’s the outcome of this one, which I think nothing will come out of it.. so no surprise!!!

  19. Elgin Martinez says:
