Marcel Cardona still wants education subsidies

Marcel Cardona, the area representative from Orange Walk East took on the U.D.P. strongman and Deputy Prime Minister, Gaspar Vega, last week. Cardona mounted a protest to say he was being deprived of the education subsidy for his constituents and that instead, Vega’s constituents were benefiting. We caught up with Cardona over the weekend.

“I would prefer to simply indicate that I am in the process of dealing directly with the minister of education on it to see how we can find an amicable solution to this situation and how the Orange Walk East students can still benefit and still obtain their rightful shares of these subsidies. Alright.”
