Battle of the exes to be settled in court

There are two sides to every story and in the case of a recent domestic dispute, both sides are pointing the finger of blame. Twenty-five year old Marvin Foreman is accused of beating his seventeen year old ex-girlfriend, but claims he did it in self defense because she stabbed him. But Kimberly Betran is alleging that Foreman was the first to get violent and she retaliated. Only Foreman was charged when the matter came up before Magistrate Aretha Ford; he pleaded not guilty to Harm and was offered bail of six hundred dollars. Betran reported to police that on Sunday Foreman went to her home and punched her on the face because a young man was there and he thought it was her new boyfriend. According to Betran, she went into the bedroom, but was followed by Foreman who continued beating her until she’d had enough and stabbed him twice to the chest area. But Foreman, who agreed in court to get counseling through the Women’s Department’s intervention program for battered men, claims that he and his ex-girlfriend recently parted and that the relationship has been very unstable. He maintained that Betran attacked him first and says he plans to bring counter-charges against her.
if that was his ex then he should of stayed away from her. Seems he got jealous and she didn’t tell the whole truth about the guy in her house whom she was probably seeing. Dude need to move on and get a more mature girl, she’s not even 18 but 16 is the age of consent for sex in Belize.
This is a grown man beating his ex girlfriend;someone’s child who is still a minor in her own home & he is complaining that she stabbed him!!! He is taking liberties with a child & wondering why the relationship is unstable. Why is he not being charged with statutory rape?

well i dont think marvin dah lie cuz im older then marvin n he n me us to hang wit da same crowd of people n then me n marvin grow close n i never saw or witness marvin hittin a gurl he always walk away so i dont kno watz up wit dis ,he use to always talk to me bout does stuff n i always use to him walk away !!! an abusive man gets bail of $600.00 and a poor mother gets bail of $2000.00? u tell me the rational behind that.
There is nothing illegal about the age difference …. But if the lady is his x then she is his x… stay away and stop the stalker behavior.
For those of you ignorant to the law a young person can give sexual consent from the age of 16 years. So since the young lady is 17 there is no crime committed.
And no the age for sexual consent doesn’t need to change other countries like Denmark have it at 15 and they do not have one eight the problem we have with sexual predators.
IT IS THE ATTITUDE IN US BELIZEAN MEN THAT NEEDS TO CHANGE.
