Taylor gets 15 years in jail for stabbing death of Leslie Gentle Jr.
Friday will mark two years since the death of Leslie Gentle Junior, who was fatally stabbed on July thirtieth, 2008. On the eve of that anniversary, the man responsible for his death was today sentenced to fifteen years behind bars. Taylor was found guilty of Manslaughter last Thursday and before today’s sentencing, Justice Adolph Lucas heard mitigation pleas his former employer, Gilroy Usher and his daughter, Melanie Usher, who both asked for leniency. Justice Lucas considered those pleas and the jury’s determination that he was provoked, but contended that Taylor acted irrationally and there was no need for bloodshed. Gentle and Taylor were in a fight near the Pound Yard compound, where the deceased ambushed Taylor from inside a bus and starting hitting him in the face. An enraged Taylor, left the area but returned with a knife that he used to stab Gentle ten times. Taylor was initially charged with Murder, but that was later reduced to manslaughter.
Sounded like premeditated murder but if manslaughter will give him time in jail to think before he acts the next time, so be it. I hope he remembers why they were fighting in the first place & that it was not worth one young man dying & him locked up for 15 years or whatever our creative math determine will be his actual time served.
Give this fool LIFE!!! First off, the man di try play bad man, but bad man beat he….no he went for a knife, real …… He killed the guy with a weapon, take his life too…no mercy.. LIFE FOOL!!!
Weldone Mr Lucas.
