Babysitter takes real good care of bosses jewelry; now in court

Randine Flowers

Twenty year old Randine Flowers, a housekeeper of St. Thomas Street, is tonight accused of stealing jewelry from her former employer.  Ruth Jaramillo reported to the police that a five hundred dollar, fourteen carat gold ring with a diamond and a three thousand dollar fourteen carat gold bracelet with diamonds had gone missing from her bedroom.  Jaramillo said she confronted her helper and she admitted to stealing the jewelry while a police investigation revealed that the items had already been pawned at JL’s Quick Loan in Flowers’ name.  This morning in court, Flowers was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court where she appeared before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer. Flowers who was unrepresented pleaded not guilty to the single charge of theft and bail was offered in the sum of five thousand dollars plus two sureties of two thousand five hundred dollars each which she met.  Her next court date was set for September twenty-eighth.

Girl, this is not a good way to start out life, use what little brain power you have to enhance your skills because you’re not a good criminal. You are still young, start begging for mercy & clean up your act.

This fool could not resist temptation, she had a job, someone trusted her within their home and yet she stole from them, should have seen this coming a mile away.

stupid woman, stole the item sold them to probably the most famous quick loan in belize using her name and hang herself.

give her life in jail for pissing me off.

  4. Proud says:

She stole jewelry worth 3500. Bail is 5000 plus 5000 in sureties….she was able to meet this bail and sureties. I still believe that someone must be behind criminals to finance their bail. Im quite certain she probably neva even get 2gran for the jewelry at JL’s.

Ms. Jaramillo, no go drop the charges now. As Maddy says, she had a job but not happy with that. She prefers fast money…tek dat girl! Hope you enjoy your vacations at the Hattie Ville Ramada.

It’s a shame that it’s so easy to claim others property than to earn your own way in life and in a humble but respectable position. My mother had the same experience, while vacationing and staying at a friend’s house, the housekeeper made claim to her jewelry and was bare faced to accused my mother of being forgetful…. I can forgive a lot of things, but not a theif, once a theif always a theif….

i think this young woman wanted to steal money like the ministers in plain sight but bad luck she’s not in the elite crew to get away with it, please humble workers don’t try this, leave this to the ministers that no the game not we poor people. i rather sweat my money that earn it in the fast fashion of stealing. hope she learns a lesson and overall all she claim not guilty, mein she has that audacity to do that.

    Why jeopardize your job Sis?

  9. rootsman says:

Yeah she is a crook and she should pay for the crime but what is the situation with JL’s Quick loan shouldn’t this be like receiving stolen property are there any regulations in place to prevent this type of establishment from accepting a pawn from a person for such high priced items like maybe a affidavit from someone that knows them stating that yes they know this person and that the property they are pawning do belong to them, or maybe this type of regulation would just hinder commerce. I do hope that the jewelry is being held as evidence and will be returned to it’s true owner and that JL’s Quick Loan will rack it up as experience and will after this not be so eager to take a pawn on items without knowing the true owner of such items.

  10. Carlos trujillo says:

Well, she is just following the leaders. After all den minista set de sample. Steal peoples property. Our money. Girl go and ask barrow how to do itin a profesional way.

  11. Born Belizean says:

What I would like to know is if she stole any documentation proving ownership, because I would like to think that a pawn shop should be more careful of the stuff they pawn, especially with more expensive jewelry. But then again, maybe not, they are all probably owned by ministers or politicians.
