Ras Indio to spread positive vibes at Irie Music Festival in LA
Belize’s music ambassador may be Moses Michael Leviy, but there is one musician who has been quite a diplomat for the country at reggae festivals in Europe, Canada and the U.S. Ras Indio, son of Bredda David, a senior local artist, is working on a new music video which will soon be released. But before the editing is completed, the consummate workaholic is flying out of the country this weekend to represent his brand of music as well as the Jewel at a music festival in the United States. Indio stopped by News Five to update us about the video and the upcoming event in California.

“We’re trying to make this video a number one video when it hits out again just as “Dem ah Fraud” and right now it all has to do with all the violence that we’ve been dealing with in our beautiful country Belize. I personally can’t explain why the youths have gone so far astray, killing each other the way things are right now. But my contribution is to produce this video.”

Forwarding to Los Angeles this time, first stop August twenty-eighth and twenty-ninth but I’m performing on Saturday night. I’ll be a part of the Irie Music Festival. One of the head promoters of this festival was Puppa Curly so you all might remember him, one of the first Belizean artists to step out there. So yeah I’m going to represent us as always. I’m doing Saturday. Along with me on this festival there are performances by Beres Hammond, who everyone loves; you have Inner Circle and Culture; and you have Mr. Vegas, you have Queen Ifrica, you have Tony Rebel, you have myself, you have Aziatic and LJ who will be the Belizean artists representing at this festival.”
What percent of the Belizean Population bother to purchase or listen to the garbage that Shyne Belize’s Music Ambassador performs? Just asking.
